The Broadway Gloss Lacquer Desktop Cigar Humidor

This was my overwhelming reaction to this humidor when I opened the well-packaged box. Despite the provided dimensions, it was bigger than I anticipated. Despite the handsome finish in the pictures, it was more beautiful than I expected. To say this humidor is a great value is a gross understatement when you lay eyes on it.

Now, I've just begun the 2-week seasoning process (using Bovedo 84% Humidifiers), but the overall fit, finish and tightness of the lid gives me confidence I have a good one. Flaws? Only one minor one and easily remedied. I heard a little wood "click" on one side when opening the lid, then found the edge of the base at the point of contact was a bit rough. A slight rubbing of 220 grit sandpaper did the trick in about 2 minutes - now a quiet and still tight fit. The humidifier will be retired to my parts box in favor of Bovedo packs and the hygrometer will be replaced by one of my digital units. Both of these changes are to be expected and do not affect my opinion whatsoever. I'll try to remember to loop back once the seasoning is complete and I get my first impressions about it's humidity consistency (I'm not too worried).

Overall, this is a fine piece and I'm tempted to buy another from the same line for that anticipated cigar "overflow". :) Buy with confidence!
